Secure number plates
Petrol thefts seem to have declined with the drop in the price of oil but there are still other valid reasons for taking steps against having your number plates stolen. Once a criminal has your plates he is free to impersonate you and your car. Any offences involving number plate recognition cameras , for example congestion charging or speed cameras will result in you receiving the summons or fixed penalty.The solution is very easy and in some cases free. Just replaced the standard screws that secure your plates to the car with anti-tamper ones. Many police forces are giving them away free.
