For those thinking of pursuing a pharmacy career they need to understand a few of the education requirements and the time it will take to reach their goal.
One degree the Doctor of Pharmacy degree normally consists of two years specific undergraduate courses followed by another 4 academic years of professional coursework.
Each university has different rules but as general rule most students are required to have already completed 3+ years of college before entering the pharmacy program but some may accept students who have only graduated from high school.
College grads that enroll in a pharmacy program must complete the full four-years of professional academic study to earn the PharmD degree. The PharmD is a great degree but be prepared to work for it but if you have what it takes the rewards will last a lifetime.
